Surface Preparation :

Roughen and clean the surface to remove any dust, unsound material, plaster, paint, algae etc., Oil and grease deposits are to be removed by steam cleaning or detergent scrubbing. Acid etching is a must for chemically contaminated areas.

Mixing :

Resin and Hardener are supplied in pre-weighed packs and in different colours for visual inspection of complete mixture for part mixing take Resin : Hardener in Monkit in the ratio of 1 : 1 by volume or weight. Mix homogeneously until uniform colour is obtained. Scrap sides, corners and bottom of containers.

Application :

Mixed compound is applied initially as thin layers to avoid air entrapment and filling worn areas. Apply required material to build up at least 0.5 mm more than desired dimension for machining allowance. Smoothen the surface by gently roll over moist hand over the surface during semi-dry condition. Machine the surface to required dimension after curing time.
